weekly prompt #4
Let us break some new ground that simply wasn’t possible on Instagram. Below is a music video, this week we want you to write one or multiple hellokoos on any aspect of it. Whether that is the lyrics, the video itself, the instruments or any other aspect you may find within it. Does it stir a certain feeling? If you don’t like the song, lean into that and feed off that emotion. It might allow memory to resurface and the writing could steer away from this entirely. Most of all, have fun and feel.
Enough melody
to drag my bones from hiding
and move once again.

You need to hear it
even when you’re convinced you don’t.
I think you are great.

The looming dimness
with outbursts of blinding light.
There is still hope left.

It’s funny really
how people become life lines -
they use love as bait.

That last one has so much potential to be more. I’m going to transform it into a big piece. The imagery of us being lost in the lake and somebody fishing us out using their life line - it has legs that’s for sure!
